One of Colton's favorite attractions of our vacation was the Kleenex dispenser in the hotel bathroom. Add a little Princess toothpaste, and he was in heaven! BTW, we learned that (much like heated leather seats), adjoining hotel rooms are no longer a luxury, but a necessity!
Completely random picture of our cute one-year old birthday boy. I hope our staircase and railings are built to code. Colton celebrated his one-year birthday on June 7th. He likes to make noise, but doesn't really talk. But who needs to when you look so cute!
Halle was happiest on the "low thrill" rides...like the cars you can't steer, but think you can. Halle heaven. We eventually convinced her to broaden her horizons. After trying Blues Clues and other exciting trains, she fell in love with the Rugrats rollercoaster. Who would've thought? If you try it, you like it!
Plankton's Plunge is a family favorite. Believe it or not, Halle was smiling by the end...and Maddie didn't stop smiling until she went to sleep.
Mad's wasn't so hip on the low thrill rides, but she humored her little sister a couple of times.
Who needs rides when you have puddles. And we had plenty! It rained most of the first day we were there. At least the lines were short!
Maddie was so excited to return to the park after dinner and "Halle's bed time". I'm not sure if she really enjoyed the ride so much, but she sure was happy to be awake and partying while her little sister was stuck in the hotel.
This is what Colton did most of the trip: sit and watch everyone else have fun. Sorry, we didn't have any pictures of him on the carousel or train. Those were his favorites. He even screamed at appropriate times.
Halle's favorite ride at the park was the Scooby Doo haunted house. She's afraid of haunted houses and loud noises...but she loves Scooby Doo and shooting ghosts in the dark.

There was a water park at the amusement park, and most everyone had a good time, even though some don't look like they are. Notice the blanched, nearly frost bitten skin. Of course we went when it was overcast and raining. At least we had shorter lines. Maddie and Halle loved the tube rides.
We highly recommend King's Island. We had a blast and would love to go back again. If anyone wants to join us, we'd love to share in kid watching so the adults can go on some of the best rollercoasters in the country...instead of by ourselves.

Janice will be so jealous. She grew up near Kings Island and spent many a summer day there. I have actually been there a few times when we visited her parents and it is quite the place.
